A Highland hospitality business has closed down due to tragic personal circumstances.

Gaby and Gus Glue have stopped taking bookings for their converted boat which sits upon the Caledonian Canal at Dochgarroch.

The Highland Lassie offered accommodation and food to tourists and locals alike in comfortable surroundings.

However, the couple have now closed down the business due to Gaby being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Posting on Facebook, the couple said: "The team would like to inform all of our customers – that due to Gaby’s diagnosis of terminal cancer – it is with huge regret, that Highland Lassie will cease trading with immediate effect. Anyone with a booking, we will be in contact with you shortly.

"Finally, we’d like to thank our loyal clientèle for your support throughout the years.

"Love, Gaby and Gus."
