A business in the far-north of Scotland is looking forward to continuing to provide its clients with an unparalleled service over the course of 2024.

Ferguson Transport’s Port and Marine Services team has proudly been serving the west coast of Scotland and other parts of the UK since 1999.

As a branch of Ferguson Transport and Shipping - a distinguished national logistics company established in 1959 - its commitment to excellence and personalised service for its clients is next to none.

At the heart of Ferguson Transport and Shipping’s success is a legacy of family ownership, ensuring a dedication to exceeding customer expectations.

As one of the most well established logistics companies based in the Highlands and Islands, it offers a comprehensive range of services including bespoke road transport and logistic solutions, port operations, marine services, cranage, contract lifting, warehousing, distribution and cargo handling.

Ferguson’s operations and projects director, Kevin Ferguson said: “What sets us apart is our marine team’s intimate knowledge and extensive experience navigating throughout the West coast’s islands and lochs.

“Over the years we’ve integrated operations between our road transport, port and coastal shipping services providing ‘logistic solutions successful with partners’.”

Ferguson Transport and Shipping is also co-owner and joint venture partner in the operation of Kishorn Port Limited (KPL).

KPL is primarily a facility provider for port and dry dock operations which support four key sectors: oil and gas; renewables; aquaculture; and decommissioning.

Kevin added: “Supplying port and marine services at Kishorn Port has enabled us to build up a great track record in supporting asset owners and clients directly, along with managing the port operations for KPL.

“Through gaining understanding of our clients’ needs, we have expanded our port and marine services to provide comprehensive solutions, a testament to our team gaining knowledge of the industry and commitment to meeting and exceeding the expectations of our clients.”

2023 proved a busy year for all involved in Ferguson Transport’s Port & Marine Services.

The team have played a pivotal role in providing essential services during projects such as Altera’s Voyageur Spirit FPSO, Noble Intrepid’s dry docking and the arrival of The Northern Producer in October for dismantling and recycling, and will continue to support the principal contractor on this project.

The dedication and professionalism consistently demonstrated by the port and marine services team underscores the integral role played in supporting the day-to-day operations at Kishorn Port to assist with the continued success at KPL.

As the industry continues to evolve, the team is ready to meet new challenges and exceed expectations in delivering an outstanding service for the port and maritime sector.
