Highland bakeries rise to the challenge and scoop up accolades at national awards ceremony

Several bakeries across the region have picked up accolades at the Scottish Baker of the Year Awards.

Harry Gow, Three Little Bakers, Ashers Bakery and Bad Girl Bakery and Cafe all scooped awards at this year’s ceremony.

Harry Gow was given national gold and regional gold for its chocolate caramel biscuit; national bronze award for its celebration cake; national gold award and regional gold for its sourdough; regional gold award in the savoury category for its curry pie; regional bronze in the morning roll category; and regional silver for its strawberry tart.

Posting on social media, Harry Gow said: “Thanks again to Scottish Bakers for such a great night - there’s certainly no business like s̶h̶o̶w̶ the bakery business”

Three Little Bakers won regional gold award and national silver award for its well-fired roll; regional bronze for bread; and was a finalist as craft baker of the year.

Ashers scooped a bronze national award and Bad Girl Bakery was a finalist in the customer choice awards.
