HIGH Life Highland (HLH) opened its booking page yesterday for its highly anticipated summer activities programme Schools Out, however the website had an "unexpected issue", leaving parents concerned over their bookings.

The team is working to resolve the problem and it is expected the website will re-open for bookings at 9am on June 8.

HLH wrote on Facebook: "We apologise to everyone affected by the unexpected issue that arose today in relation to our Schools Out website. Our team is working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. The booking system will reopen on Wednesday morning (8 June) at 9am.

"Thank you for bearing with us."

Parents are airing their frustration's on Facebook as some are worried there will be no spaces left for their kids when booking re-opens.

One person wrote: "Can you *please* confirm that bookings already made that went to the confirmation screen but are not showing in our accounts will be secured? So far you have only confirmed that payment places will receive emails as the server catches up. What about the activities that were included in the membership?"
Another said: "3 hours spent trying to book a class that totals 5 hours over a week. It happens every year. Why not launch each regions class on different days to spread the internet traffic out."

The system went live at 9am yesterday, but users found there were error messages as well as the website timing out and they were not receiving confirmation of their bookings.

Shortly after, High Life Highland posted that they were aware of the issues and were working hard to resolve them, however they had to close the system last night.

The programme offers nearly 1000 different activities from July to mid August to keep children entertained.
