Heartfelt tributes to Nairn man who died after fatal crash on the A9 between North Kessock and Tore

Heartfelt tributes have poured in from people far and wide following the death of a man from Nairn after a fatal crash on the A9 between North Kessock and Tore.
James Noble (30), also known as Jamie, from the Nairn area, fell victim to the incident that took place around 1.50am, between North Kessock and Tore, south of the junction with the B9161 for Munlochy.
It involved a Volvo tipper and a Scania Tipper.
The driver of the Volvo had exited his vehicle at the time of the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A BEAR Scotland spokesperson said: “Our deepest sympathies go out to the deceased’s family and colleagues at this time.
“This tragic fatal incident occurred on one of our sites and involved a supply chain member of one of our long-term contractors.
"We are co-operating fully with, and will give all assistance to, the police investigation to determine the cause of this tragic incident.
“The health and safety of all those on our sites is of paramount importance to us and we were devastated to learn of this tragic event.”
Hundreds of people have sent their heartfelt condolences to the man's family following the incident.
Linda Anne Wilson said: "Dreadfully sad. My thoughts are very much with all of his family, friends and colleagues."
Emma Welford said: "Jamie, you were one of the best. The car and retail scene will not be the same without you."
Lisa Anderson said: "I cannot believe this. Jamie was an amazing guy and my thoughts go out to all of the family."
Catherine Gilchrist said: "What an absolute tragedy. So, so sad. My thoughts are with Jamie's family, friends and workmates. Rest in peace young man."
Callum Hughes said: "Absolutely devastating news. Rest in peace Jamie. You were a great workmate and a fantastic father and fiancé. You will be sorely missed."
Road Policing officers in the Highlands are appealing for information following the fatal road crash which took place on the A9, in the early hours of Tuesday, 12 March, 2024.
The A9 was closed for around eight hours to allow for investigation work to be carried out.
Sergeant Ewan Calder, from the Highland and Islands Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with Jamie’s family at this terrible time.
“Enquiries remain ongoing and we ask anyone who may have been travelling southbound in the area around the time of the incident and witnessed what took place, or has any dashcam footage, to please come forward.”
