Police are appealing for help to track down David Bennett, who has been reported missing.

The 60-year-old, from Tain, was last known to be in the Scotsburn Court area. He was last spoken to at around 9pm yesterday, according to police.

Officers suggest he may be travelling in his black Peugeot 2008, registration KJ18 VFU, which has been discovered parked and unattended at Loch Assynt.

Police Sergeant Harry Milton, of Alness Police Station, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of David and would appeal to anyone who may know where he is to contact us.

"We have issued a photo of David, but it is understood he may not have a beard any more.

"Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1973 of Monday, October 24, 2022.”
