A SPECTACULARLY scary Halloween show on Saturday and Sunday evenings opened the Inverness Winter Festival in splendid fashion with almost 14,000 attending the Ness Islands event.

Councillor Callum Smith said: “We were absolutely delighted with how the show went and the creativity shown by the Eden Court Theatre performers who developed an alien invaders theme, with the youngsters devising many of the performances themselves.

“It was a tremendous start to the Winter Festival.”

Amazing special effects were created by Arts in Motions video artist John McGeoch, supported by Limelight Events Services.

Some highly-inventive costumes were on show as youngsters and adults alike got into the spirit of Halloween.
