'Gosh look who just got good', observed one fan on social media tonight in the wake of Ross County's convincing 3-0 defeat of Motherwell.

The bounce enjoyed by the Staggies since the third coming of Derek Adams as manager at the Dingwall club has put a smile on faces of long-suffering fans.

Simon Murray, Yan Dhanda and Ben Purrington were all on target as the resurgent club climbed to

The win that lifted County above the Motherwell side managed by Staggies' legend Stuart Kettlewell warmed the cockles of fans on a chilly night in the stands.

James Macpherson, in common with dozens of other fans, took to the club's own social media page to share his observations after the final whistle sounded: 'Same group of players looking so much more positive, playing 15 yards higher, less back and fore sideways, get players into more advanced positions quicker, closing down a bit quicker. All simple little things MM [Malky Mackay] wasn't getting them to do.

'Leak is getting better and better, Allardice and Randall so consistent. We look solid, playing dome really good stuff at times.Putting smiles on faces. Keep it going guys!!!"

Derek Price hailed 'The Derek Adams factor' while George Carson welcomed 'a great 3 points' urging: 'Onwards and upwards. C’mon the Staggies!'

And for Rob Johnston, a sense of relief is leading to a sense of belief: 'Brilliant, first time in a very long time I’ve been feeling confident about our performances.'

Craig Mackenzie quite simply observed: 'Gosh look who just got good.'

And Owen Rose spotted great performances wherever he looked: 'Hard to pick a man of the match tonight, everyone played superb!'

And for Morven Shepherd, two words sufficed: 'Adams magic.'
