Friends and family help golden couple who met in Strathpeffer mark milestone 50th wedding anniversary

A Ross-shire couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary after 50 years of marriage.

George (80) and Margaret Spark (84) tied the knot in St Anne’s Episcopal Church in Strathpeffer on February 3, 1972.

The pair met in Strathpeffer where they both worked, Margaret owned a pharmacy and George ran the greengrocers.

They celebrated the special milestone surrounded by friends and family with afternoon tea at the house and a meal at The Priory to complete the celebrations.
