AN earlier visit to a local school by two of the town's best-known residents has dealt a welcome boost to pupil's at Invergordon's South Lodge Primary.

A framed and signed T-shirt donated by strongmen siblings Tom and Luke Stoltman during the pre-Covid visit was raffled to boost school funds.

The money raised helped buy new picnic benches, including one specially made by Dave Sanderson that is wheelchair accessible.

Head teacher David Hayes-Macleod said: "I would like to say a massive thank you to Dave Sanderson who commissioned for us this brand new picnic table which allows children in wheelchairs to access it along with their friends. Also a massive thank you to Novar Sawmill who transported it to the school. You will remember that we were so very kindly donated a framed and signed t shirt from the amazing Luke Stoltman and Tom "The Albatross" Stoltman over a year ago and we raffled it off and the money that we raised has helped to pay for this plus some other new picnic benches for the outdoor environment.

"Keep your eyes peeled though as more is still to come and we hope to invite the boys down to the school to show them what their donation has helped us to do."
