EVERYTHING is coming up roses for children at an Easter Ross nursery after a welcome £2000 boost from a local company.

Obsdale Primary's nursery secured £2000 from Pat Munro's community funding programme to help turn its garden into "a fantastic learning place".

Leanne Fraser at the Alness nursery said: "Along with some other funding we have had from other local businesses, we now have enough to turn our garden into a fantastic learning space for the children, and with the children’s input it’s going to be amazing."

A sponsor tree outside the nursery, where local businesses can sponsor a leaf for a small fee, has also gone well. And Tomich Cafe held a quiz night which added around £700 to the fund.
