A HIGHLAND choir has given £9000 to a cancer charity that supports young people.

Highland Hospitals Carol Concert committee presented the donation to Clic Sargent.

The money will be used to support the charity’s ground-breaking work through its Young Lives Vs Cancer campaign.

Cash was raised at Highland Hospitals’ annual carol concert in the Drumossie Hotel last year.

Chairman David Dean said: “Once again we are tremendously grateful to the choir of 60 singers – including 13 new members – for the energy, hard work and good humour they bring to rehearsals and on the concert afternoon itself.”

Over 44 years, the concerts have raised in excess of £238,000.
