Fresh appeal for missing Ross woman

THE mystery surrounding the disappearance of a Ross-shire woman posted missing three weeks ago has prompted a fresh appeal for information.
Northern Constabulary has taken the step of issuing the plea in the wake of growing concerns for the well-being of Mrs Alice Jack, reported missing from the Dingwall area since Tuesday, March 6.
The 58-year-old is described as being 5'2" tall, of a slim build with blonde shoulder length hair.
It is unknown what clothing she is likely to be wearing.
Police said in a statement they will be liaising with the Coastguard in relation to any future searches.
The search for Mrs Jack has to date involved coastguard teams from Inverness, Dornoch and Portmahomack. Initial enquiries indicate she was in the Evanton area when she went missing.
Police dogs have also been involved in the search, which earlier focused on the Black Rock Gorge and the mouth of the Allt Grad.
Locals were asked by police to check outbuildings and report any “unusual activity that may have occurred at their properties”.
Police said all information received to date was "gratefully appreciated".
