Four crews in attendance at Invergordon garden fire

Invergordon fire crew responded to more than a dozen calls from the public after a garden fire got out of control.

The first call, made at 11.43am, was to a domestic garden in the town.

The fire spread to two properties.

A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: "First appliance mobilised to a fire within a domestic garden.

At one time there were four appliances on the scene due to large amounts of smoke seen in area. "
The crew was assisted by Dingwall and Tain. Fire had spread to two properties.

She continued: "Two breathing apparatus, main jets and hosereels in use. Crews carried out cutting away."

Emergency services were on the scene for almost two hours.
