Four arrested as heroin with a street value of £4,470 seized in police drugs raid in the Highland capital

Three men and a woman have been arrested and charged with drugs offences after heroin was seized in a police raid in the Highland capital.

The incident happened around 9.20pm on Wednesday in the Culloden Road area of Inverness.

The quantity of the Class A substance seized had an estimated value of £4,470.

The men, aged 36 and 29, and the woman aged 23, were expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Acting detective sergeant Duncan Birse said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and Police Scotland is committed to disrupting the supply and sale of illegal substances.

“Anyone who has information or concerns about drugs should contact Police Scotland via 101 or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
