AN Easter Ross school has created a slick new website with help from two former pupils.

Tain Royal Academy paid tribute to pupils, staff and parents for their support in getting the new site designed and built.

It said: "A special thanks to former pupils Chloe Mackay who managed the project and created the design and content and Lily Macdonald who took the photographs.

"The site has been built by local web design company Plexus Media Ltd. We hope all parents will find it an improvement on the old school site and find it useful and informative."

In an introduction on the home page. rector Mark Jones says: "Our school has a vision which states that we are 'working together to help each pupil reach their potential'. This means supporting all pupils with our continued commitment to very high quality learning and teaching and pastoral care to ensure the highest attainment and achievement for each individual.

How it looks.
How it looks.

"We build on the experiences our pupils have in primary school and believe that positive destinations are achievable for each of our pupils. However, we all need to work together, school staff and parents & carers along with our community to help each young person get the very best from their secondary education years. I believe that together we can achieve the best outcomes for all our young people."

The school, and several others in the town, are due to be replaced by a new campus catering for pupils aged from three to 18.

The new website can be seen at http://www.tainroyalacademy.org.uk/
