Former Easter Ross boxer remanded in custody after appearing on offensive weapon charge

A former boxer from Alness has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with having an offensive weapon in public.

Scott Ross (37) appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court charged with having a blade or pointed object with a reasonable excuse as well as a second charge of vandalism.

He made no plea and was remanded in custody.

He will appear again in court within the next eight days.
