BEAR Scotland continue to work with Highland Council in attempt to prevent water from flowing down the hill from a road on the A82 near Loch Ness after debris from a landslide forced its closure earlier today.

The road remains closed in both directions at Abriachan, north of Drumnadrochit.

Elsewhere, Highland Council have also confirmed that the A832 junction connecting Garguston to Kilearnan Church road near Muir of Ord has been closed due to flooding.

Roads closed, as reported by Highland Council:

On the A9 at Tomich north of Alness, temporary traffic signals are in operation due local flooding from adjacent land.

The B9163 from A835 Corntown junction on to the A9 is flooded, but the council advise that it is passable with care.

Also, following an earlier landslide on the A890 between Ardnarff and Stromeferry viewpoint, the road has now been opened.
