FIRE services were called to tackle a blaze in Invergordon town centre last night.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called at 7pm last night after reports of a fire on Mill Street.

A spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7pm on Thursday, 9 March to reports of a building fire in Invergordon.

"Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the town's Mill Street, where firefighters extinguished a small fire within a derelict building and worked to make the area safe before leaving the scene.

"There were no casualties."

It is believed that the building involved was the old mill building.

Stagecoach Highland has warned that due to the incident, the main bus stop can't be used as the area has been cordoned off.

Police were contacted for information.
