FIREFIGHTERS stationed in Invergordon were called to a derelict building blaze on their home patch yesterday.

An appliance from the town was mobilised on reports of a blaze at the building on Academy Road.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said the call came in at 5.33pm on Friday afternoon.

One appliance with hose reel attended.

Invergordon Fire Station said: "Crews extinguished and then carried out extensive cutting away of walls and roof space to gain full access."

The stop notice was recorded as 7.21pm, according to the SFRS.
