Two fire units were called to tackle a blaze in a derelict building in Tain this afternoon.

Firefighters from Tain and Dornoch are still in attendance, (4.30 pm) but the outbreak in the Lamington Street area was said by a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman to be under control.

The alarm was raised at about 2.46pm, and the incident caused considerable traffic disruption around Lamington Street area which is an extension of the town's High Street.
