Fire crews tackle blaze at Park Primary School in Invergordon

Five fire crews have been sent been sent to tackle a blaze at an Easter Ross primary school.

The alarm was raised at 10am when flames and a black cloud of smoke were spotted coming from Park Primary in Invergordon

Three fire crews are currently at the scene with two more on the way to the fire.

All pupils and staff have been evacuated safely and are accounted for.

Parents have been advised by Highland Council to collect their children from Invergordon Academy.

It is not yet known of the extent of the damage to the school.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said one crew was from Invergordon, one from Tain, and two crews were sent from Dingwall. In addition an aerial platform has been sent to the scene.
