House on fire in Wester Ross

Three fire crews have been battling a house fire in Wester Ross.

The alarm was raised at about 12.30 today (Tuesday August 15) at a dwelling in Shieldaig.

Firefighters from Torridon, Kinlochewe and Gairloch attended and at 3.45pm fire control in Dundee said the outbreak was under controls but crews remained on scene dampening down any hotspots.

The roof of the house was on fire it was said, but there were no casualties according to Scottish Fire and Rescue.
