Charity Clarity Walk is planning a Christmas Day walk in Inverness to help people feel less socially isolated and alone.

The walk on the Ness Islands at 10am will provide people with an opportunity to simply walk and talk with others.

The charity’s founder, Matt Wallace, said: “Christmas is one of the hardest times of year for some, and it will only be harder this year as people reflect on what they currently have, what they have lost and what they don’t have compared to others.

“It is a time that people can feel very alone and their mental health can suffer, which has resulted in many suicides during the festive season.

“Clarity Walk wants to let people know they are not alone with this walk and we are here to support them every single day. “

Anyone wishing to attend the walk should sign up online at www.claritywalk.co.uk/book-a-walk.
