PUPILS at an Easter Ross primary got right into the spirit of the season with a special dress-down day that allowed them to wear their favourite festive attire.

South Lodge Primary Christmas Day came slightly earlier than usual when children and staff at the Invergordon school came in festive jumpers and hats.

In keeping with the theme, they shared a Christmas lunch and were later entertained by a visiting pantomime.

"All of the children and staff had a truly wonderful day", said head teacher David Hayes-MacLeod who admitted to going a little “crackers” with his own festive attire.
