Female trapped after Black Isle accident

A THREE-vehicle smash on a Black Isle road prompted an emergency services call-out this morning.

The collision happened on the B9161 between the Munlochy junction of the A9 and Bogallan Nurseries.

The Journal understands firefighters had to cut a female trapped following the collision free from the wreckage.

The extent of injuries are not yet known.

Police said in a statement that the road is expected to remain closed "for some time" and diversions are in place.
