A FORMER Tain man and his daughter have taken part in the Lincoln 10k road race in aid of Highland Hospice.

Keith Mackenzie who now lives and works in Lincoln and his daughter Lucy opened a JustGiving page in memory of his mum Christine who died at the hospice in June 1991.

"2019 should have been a momentous year for my mum and dad George. Mum would have been 80 on July 11 and they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage together on July 23," said Mr Mackenzie.

Sadly the couple have both passed away and Mr Mackenzie felt he would like to run the 10k in memory of his mum who was cared for at the hospice in her final days.

She died nine years before Lucy was born.

Keith is inviting the public to give generously to the hospice.

"They do a fantastic job," he said.
