Dingwall High Street is currently closed due to fallen masonry.

Emergency services are on the scene and the road will remain closed until the area is made safe.

Highland Council has shared a photograph which shows workers dealing with the situation in the vicinity of the former Commercial Bar and the Dingwall office of Kate Forbes MSP.

Meanwhile, Highland Council reports that due to the weather forecast, emerging Met Office weather warnings and the potential risk of flooding, the Service Point located at County Buildings in Dingwall will be closed tomorrow (Friday).

It said: "Historically, this area has been prone to flooding during previous episodes of severe weather.

"Based on current forecasts, Dingwall Service Point is scheduled to open again as normal from Monday at 9.30am, however, this will be monitored during the course of the weekend."

A statement added: "The council apologises for any inconvenience caused."
