IT's news sure to be welcomed by many hard-pressed parents and carers during the school summer holidays.

Alness Leisure is to extend its opening hours from Friday, June 30 until Friday, Augyst 11 every Monday through to Thursday.

New opening hours will include the halls, pitches, and swimming pool.

The centre offers lessons and sessions to keep families and children entertained, plus the pool’s six lane competition-style layout makes the experience a great workout for all those wishing to swim lengths too.

Catriona Fraser, High Life Highland’s leisure manager there, said: “We are really excited to be able to offer extended hours during what is typically one of the busiest times of year for the centre.

“Our halls are set up so that you can play badminton, football, basketball, netball, and more – the choice is yours!

“Full access to the centre is included as part of Highlife memberships, so if you are thinking of ways to spend the school holidays with the family, Alness Leisure awaits your booking at no extra cost.

“We encourage everyone to make their bookings well in advance, particularly if considering using the swimming pool, since it’s a much-loved facility that is sure to be busy throughout the holiday period.”
