ENGINEERS are to investigate reports of intermittent water supplies in parts of the Dingwall area.

Scottish Water said it was investigating the situation after some customers in the IV7 postcode area complained of interruptions to their supply. The postcode area stretches from near Loch Ussie in the west and to the south of Dingwall, through Conon Bridge and Marybank, before heading along the northern side of the Black Isle as far as Jemimaville. Scottish Water did not specify the precise location of the fault.

"We are currently on the way to investigate the issue and are aiming to be on site as soon as possible," said a Scottish Water spokesman.

"While we investigate, please be aware that you may experience no water supply or low/intermittent water pressure. You may also experience discoloured water.

"If you require additional support, please use this link to sign up as a Priority Services Customer.

"If you have experienced flooding due to this incident and need support, please call us on 0800 0778 778 or via one of the other methods on our contact us page."

News of the disruption came after interruptions were also reported to some supplies in the Inverness area.

Posting an update at 1.40pm, Scottish Water said it was carrying out "essential repairs" which were causing disruption to some supplies in the Inverness area, and that the full repair would take around two hours to complete.
