Highland MSP Kate Forbes took to social media earlier this week to announce her engagement but there was one piece of big missing news.
Who was the mystery man?
He is Alasdair Maclennan, who is from Dingwall.
Hundreds of messages of goodwill have poured in for the MSP after she revealed on Twitter she was tying the knot.
Mr Maclennan proposed while they couple were a snowy local walk.
She said in her tweet earlier this week: “Having launched the Wedding Fund today, I should declare an interest as a brave man asked me to marry him on a snowy local walk over the last few days and I said ‘yes’.
“No plans yet for a wedding – there’s plenty of budget work to manage first. Some rare happy news!”
Ms Forbes duly delivered the budget earlier this week at Holyrood.
