Emergency services called to rescue two people after Ullapool incident

Two people have been recovered from the water at Ullapool close to Shore Street in the Wester Ross village.

Emergency services, including Police Scotland, the Scottish Air Ambulance Service and the the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, were called to the scene earlier this afternoon.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said it followed a report of a person in the water at around 1.20pm.

"Emergency services attended and two people were rescued from the water.

“They are both receiving treatment and enquiries are ongoing."

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 13:17 to attend an incident at Ullapool Harbour, Shore Street, Ullapool.

"An ambulance, air ambulance and HM Coastguard were dispatched to the scene and three patients were transported to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.
