A WOMAN who was sick of being asked if she had found a partner, got her own back on her unsuspecting brother-in-law when she got a celebrity fake boyfriend to call him.

Lee-Anne Fraser (27) from Alness was fed up with her sister's husband, Iain Belshaw, from Dingwall asking her on an almost weekly basis if she had a boyfriend yet – she contacted one of her radio favourites Scott Mills to ask for help.

Mr Mills has a regular news item on his Radio One show called Fake Boyfriend Service, in which he pretends to be the partner of someone who needs a boyfriend to sort out a problem for them.

A few days after emailing the show, Mr Mills contacted Lee-Anne saying the radio DJ was willing to take on the challenge.

Ms Fraser said: "I am a huge fan of Scott Mills and his sidekick Chris Stark, and I mean I really, really like them. I listen every day. I am such a fan girl.

"So when my brother-in-law Ian Belshaw kept asking me, every time I saw him, if I had a boyfriend I decided to call on his help."

Ms Fraser, who works for Porex Technologies Ltd in Alness, said: "It didn't annoy me that he kept asking me, but it did get a wee bit boring."

The radio presenter, who is also known for appearing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2014 and his work with Comic Relief, phoned Mr Belshaw pretending to be the boyfriend.

Ms Fraser said: "But Ian didn't take him on as much as he thought he would."

She continued: "I don't think his call with Scott is going to change anything. Scott had to phone him back after the prank to find out if it was ok to use the phone recording. Ian told Scott that his phone call was not going to stop him asking me if I have a boyfriend."

She was even spending Christmas Eve with her brother-in-law and her family as they celebratined Christmas a day early.

And of course, we had to ask Ms Fraser the question that she hates, does she have a boyfriend yet? She said: "No, I've not had any takers yet."
