The young artists teamed up with charity Youth Highland and professional artists to create the immersive piece, Where’s Your Head At, expressing reflections and experiences of living in the Highlands, including the effect of the pandemic.

Between February 10 and 13, the piece will be on show at four Highland locations: The Scout Hut in Balintore, The Clay Studio in Merkinch, Thurso Youth Club and ending at the Alness High Street north car park.

The project is funded by the Scottish Government’s Youth Arts Fund through Creative Scotland and is supported by the Youth Music Initiative and Time to Shine.

Clair Nichols, chief officer at Youth Highland, recognises the struggles that the young people faced during the pandemic.

“Young people have missed out on a lot and have made great sacrifices during the pandemic,” she said.

“Their stories and experiences will act as a lasting legacy and we must help their hopes to be realised to ensure they move positively into the future.”
