PARENTS of pupils at an Easter Ross primary school are being invited to check a list of children's belongings left at school before the summer holiday started.

The appeal posted by Hilton of Cadboll Primary head teacher Ruth Rooney comes as schools prepare to return after one of the strangest periods in living memory.

Schools across the Highland Council area closed in March in line with a nationwide lockdown prompted by the coronavirus crisis.

Pupils learned at home remotely for the rest of the term prior to the school summer holiday, which comes to a close next week as pupils return to classrooms.

The school has posted photos of some leftover belongings. It says if they are not claimed , they will either be given to charity or put in its rag bag.
