Easter Ross pipefitter dies in industrial accident

AN EASTER Ross pipefitter has died following an industrial accident at Invergordon’s port and supply base.

He was named by police as Donald John MacDonald (55) Steading Cottages, Wester Rarichre Farm, Fearn.

A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal and the Health and Safety Executive will be carrying out an investigation.

Mr MacDonald sustained serious injuries at 8.45am on Sunday and was airlifted to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
