Man (23) who died in Shetland Upper Kergord wind farm construction site accident is named as Liam Macdonald (23) who was from Tain area of Easter Ross

THE man who died following a weekend incident at a Shetland wind farm site was from Easter Ross, police have confirmed.

The incident happened around 10.15am on Sunday, June 5 at the construction site in the Upper Kergord area.

The man has been named as Liam Macdonald (23), who was from the Tain area.

The Health and Safety Executive have been made aware of the incident and Liam's family are being supported.

Police said today: "Enquires will continue to establish the full circumstances of what happened."
