A HOTEL from Alness has scooped the top prize in the annual regional Scottish Business Awards.

The Station Hotel was in the best hotel category, up against hotels in Inverness city centre.

Winning the award for the region at the award ceremony at Drumossie Hotel at the end of April, the team are delighted to be recognised for all their hard work.

Tabitha Ramsden, sales and marketing manager at the Station Hotel, said: “As a small, family-owned hotel, it was great just to be nominated. It was great in the hotel during the voting period and the staff and customers were all excited for the big night.

“When the time came, and we were announced as winners of best hotel we were all elated.

“It has been an incredibly hard couple of years for the hospitality industry and to be shown this level of support from our customers really does make it all worthwhile. The fact that the small family-owned hotel from the small town of Alness beat the big city hotels says a lot for the community spirit in this area.”
