"Forbie was also made president of the Stotters, a golf society based around Glasgow who would annually come to Tain to play against out local members during our golf week. Forbie had a good relationship with them and they used to stop at the 11th tee for a pause and a drink.

"His family is still in Tain, although none of them are into golf!"

Mr Urquhart passed away in 2017. The new bench replaces the former one who was no longer fit for use.

A trophy donated in his memory by his family which is awarded annually in recognition for outstanding voluntary work at the club.
