A BREAK-IN to an Easter Ross High Street business may have been captured on CCTV, it has emerged.

Police said earlier in an appeal for information that a small amount of cash was taken following the break-in at the Invergordon branch of Easter Ross Vets.

It happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning between 5am and 5.30am.

In a post on the incident, the practice said: "We have had our Christmas present early this year...someone was kind enough to break into the Invergordon branch through the night on Tuesday but thankfully CCTV has it all nicely recorded! Paco is offering his castration services to the police should they catch the perpetrator...

"Have a lovely Christmas Eve!"

Members of the public have rallied with supportive comments. One wrote: "I really do hope they catch whoever did this. What satisfaction do they get out of destroying people's property?"

Police said: "Anyone with information or who may have seen someone acting suspiciously near to the premises or on Albany Road around the above time is asked to contact police via 101 quoting incident number 0590 of December 23.

"Alternatively calls can be made via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained."
