A ROSS man has hatched a plan to help out kids in need over Easter.

Garry Clark, funeral director at D. Gunn Funeral Service in Dingwall, wanted to do something nice for children in the area who might not get something for Easter.

He is asking businesses and locals to donate Easter eggs to him, which will be distributed over Easter to Connecting Young Carers, The Place youth club and Children 1st.

Mr Clark said he chose the charities for the incredible work they do.

“There are so many children out there looking after family members that will fall through the net, which is why I wanted to help the local charity Connecting Young Carers,” Mr Clark said. “The youth club in Alness do amazing work with youngsters and Children 1st again do so much for kids who are less fortunate than others.”

Mr Clark has sent out letters to local businesses but welcomes donations from anyone who can spare something.

To donate, call the funeral home at 01349 863951 to arrange a drop-off time, or Mr Clark can pick up donations locally.
