Police decided to stop a woman motorist on the A9 due to the manner of her driving and pulled her over between the Kessock Bridge and Longman roundabout.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that officers suspected 20-year-old Rona Campbell, of Burns Crescent, Dingwall was under the influence of drugs after seeing her glazed eyes.

A test proved positive for cannabis with her having 7mcgs of the drug in her system when the legal driving limit is 2mcgs.

Defence solicitor Graham Mann told Sheriff Sara Matheson: "It was an error of judgement."

Campbell was fined £420 and disqualified from driving for a year.
