Police appeal to frustrated festival-goers not to abandon vehicles amidst Belladrum traffic chaos
FRUSTRATED festival goers stuck in traffic trying to get to the Belladrum music festival are being urged not to abandon their vehicles or walk on the roads.
The appeal from police comes amid lengthy tailbacks on a number of roads leading to the festival site outside Beauly.
Festival organisers said earlier this evening they are "incredibly disappointed" at traffic issues which have seen festival goers wait hours in queues to get to the site.

In a statement issued tonight, the Highlands and islands division of Police Scotland said: "There is congestion on the A833 and A862 and officers are there assisting Belladrum Festival organisers to ensure people get to the event safely.
"Please be patient as traffic is moving slowly.
"We ask that people do not abandon their vehicles or walk on the road."
The A862 links Inverness and Beauly as well as Conon Bridge, Maryburgh and Dingwall.
The A833, sometimes known as Culnakirk, starts a mile outside of Drumnadrochit and heads towards the festival site.
The three-day festival features scores of acts across multiple stages including Sigrid, Bastille, Kiefer Sutherland, Travis and Peat & Diesel plus a variety of family oriented entertainment.
