A 32-year-old Dingwall woman with a record of road traffic offences has been confined to her home at night for the next four months.

Carrie George of St Andrew's Road appeared for sentence at Inverness Sheriff Court after earlier admitting driving while disqualified and without insurance.

The court heard that police on patrol in the town on August 5 saw her behind the wheel of a car.

Sheriff Sara Matheson put her on a restriction of liberty order from 9pm to 7am and banned her from driving for four years.
