Dingwall Tesco’s heartfelt fundraiser for the “amazing guys” at the vital charity, Highlands and Islands Blood Bikes.

In March, Dingwall Tesco invited the Highlands and Islands Blood Bikes (HAIBB) to set up outside the store in hopes of raising funds and awareness.

HAIBB also brought along their bike and van for the people of Dingwall to have a look at, as well as HAIBB merchandise to help fund their services.

Dingwall Tesco’s community champion, Michelle Mackay said: “The guys from HAIBB came well equipped, with merch and good craic all the while raising their profile with the help of our footfall.

“I also received a lovely thank you letter from the amazing guys at HAIBB – thanks to our brilliant customers at Dingwall Tesco, they raised £615.58 from their March fundraiser.

“I support the HAIBB a lot, and we will be welcoming them back in June and September.”

In the thank you letter, president of HAIBB Ross Sharp said: “To all the staff and customers, on behalf of the Highland and Islands Blood Bikes charity I would like to express our thanks to you for helping us by hosting a fundraising day at your store.

“These donations are an invaluable help to HAIBB and this assistance allows the charity to continue its aims to provide a free medical transport to the NHS within the Highland and Islands area.

“Once again, many thanks for your help and we would be delighted to think that we could look forward to support from yourselves in the future.”
