Dingwall Community Woodland is hosting an open day next Saturday with an open invitation to attend.

The event from 11am-3pm on Saturday, July 22 will be a chance to find out how 7200 trees planted back in the winter are doing.

The day will also include wildlife tours, the uncovering of a moth trap which will be set up the evening beforehand and a nature table.

Guided walks will take place throughout the day and will include plant identification, a butterfly walk and more information about the community woodland project.

You can also pop along to wander around the new woodland at your own leisure. Refreshments will be provided and a bat walk will also take place later in the day.

The event is for all ages and free of charge though the group would be grateful to any donations towards the project.
