HOLDERS of gift cards for a chain of stores currently in administration and set to close have just a few days left to make use of them.

As previously reported, M&Co is expected to close all of its stores around Easter although it's understood some will continue longer than others based on a number of factors, including trading performance.

The Dingwall branch – which is on the county town's High Street – has posted an update on gift cards noting that they will only be accepted until Sunday (February 12).

The fashion retailer, which has around 180 UK stores, appointed Teneo Financial Advisory as administrator at the end of last year.

In a statement at that time, a spokesman for Teneo said: “Like many retailers, the company has experienced a sharp rise in its input costs, which has coincided with a decline in consumer confidence leading to increased pressure on cash flows and trading losses."

M&Co previously fell into administration in August 2020, when it was bought back by its Scottish owners the McGeoch family in a pre-pack deal that saw it close 47 stores.
