A BOOKSELLER in Dingwall who opened a new chapter by welcoming browsers right around the clock may now repeat the initiative – and hopes others in the town can follow suit.

Bill Anderson said the idea of trying out a 24-hour opening of his Highflight Books store came during the long, sizzling hot days and short languid nights of summer.

He said it had been "a very successful hard day’s night with people looking for books on most subjects including aviation – my speciality – history, biography, railways, classics and travel. This event may be a first for Dingwall and something I or other businesses in the town might wish to repeat".

He’s considering Hallowe’en as the next venture "if the spirit moves me..."
