Visitors to and members of the club enjoyed a great concert recently.

They were welcomed to The Legion hall by compere, Ian Simpson.

First on stage was Hamish MacDougall on his two row button box with Christine Matheson on keyboard and Martin Maclean on drums. Frankie Fraser on accordion gave a great selection of tunes in a variety of different tempos.

Local folk singer, Ian Durham, played his guitar and sang two songs, leading up to break time.

Guests for the evening were the Neil MacGregor Trio. Neil, well known as a drummer, played accordion and was ably accompanied by Colin Garvin on keyboard and Ali K MacPherson on drums. They entertained with great music, a lovely set of Burns’ tunes encouraging everyone to sing along. Ali K treated the audience to a rowsing set on his bagpipes.

After the interval, the InverRoss Group, with Donna Dingwall, Christine Matheson and Frankie Fraser on accordions and Audrey MacDonald on fiddle, played different styles of music to entertain the audience. Jacqui MacDonald accompanied the group on keyboard and on drums was Michael Chisholm who recently moved back to live in the area.

The Neil MacGregor Trio completed the evening with more of his favourite tunes. Neil was thanked for standing in at short notice for Mártainn Skene who was unable to attend.
