Dingwall – Dochcarty – Achterneed road closure flagged this weekend ahead of railway track and level-crossing probe

A road on the edge of Dingwall is being closed overnight to allow inspection of a railway track and level crossing.

Highland Council has flagged up the temporary closure on the C1071 Dingwall – Dochcarty – Achterneed road from Sunday, June 4 until Monday, June 5.

Closure will be in place from 7.30pm on Sunday until 5am on Monday.

An alternative route for vehicular traffic signposted via the A834 Contin –Strathpeffer – Dingwall road, and this will be signed.

Consideration has been given to the safety and convenience of alternative routes suitable for the traffic which will be affected by this temporary closure.

The closure is required in the interest of public safety to enable the inspection of the railway track and level crossing.
